Liberals Hate Real Americans

At this point of the election, I didn’t believe there was a single thing that could shock me anymore. We’ve had people criticizing Obama for his Pastor, his name with Muslim ties (when did being a Muslim all of a sudden mean that you are evil), comments that his wife has made, and just about everything else. We’ve seen fanatic candidate supporters from both sides that haven’t a clue about the candidate they support, and a vice presidential candidate that doesn’t even know what the job of vice president entails…For the record Sarah (may I call you Sarah?), Article I of the Constitution establishes an exceptionally limited role for the Vice President — giving the office holder a vote only when the Senate is “equally divided”: The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no vote, unless they be equally divided.). Can this race to the Whitehouse get any goofier?

Unfortunately, the answer is yes. On Saturday while warming up a crowd in North Carolina, Republican Rep. Robin Hayes offered the some shocking statements. According to Hayes, “liberals hate real Americans that work and achieve and believe in God.”

Of course the Republican spin doctor Amanda Little said that Hayes 100% denies making the comments that appear in the Observer article. She noted that other national reporters that were at the event and didn’t hear anything even remotely similar to what the Observer reported. However, audio has been released from the Robin Hayes speech and he has finally owned up to his comments…but of course, he says he didn’t really mean it.

If you are liberal, have a listen to this and start making all the country bumpkin and redneck jokes that you want. If you are a republican, bow your head in shame and pray tonight for some representatives that can actually do you proud.

Untouched Palin Newsweek Cover

I know, I know…I’m wasting a lot of time talking about this Sarah Palin woman who won’t even be a thought in our minds in 2 months, but the “newsbreaks” about this woman are getting crazier by the day. Topic of the day: The Newsweek cover of Sarah Palin that features an un-retouched headshot photo.

This week’s Newsweek magazine features an untouched photo of Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin along with the headline She’s One Of The Folks (And that’s the Problem). As you can see, Andrea Tantaros argues that “It highlights every imperfection that every human being has. We’re talking unwanted facial hair, pores, wrinkles. This is a gross slap in the face.”

Now I’m a UNLV Fine Arts graduate, so I’m sure my observational skills are far more evolved than these literal political experts. Maybe the correlation between words and imagery is lost upon the true elitists of society, but wouldn’t an untouched photo of a naturally attractive woman help the public relate to her as one of the folks a lot more than a heavily photoshopped image that shows nothing but artificially flawless skin and false perfection? In my opinion (which is correct 100% of the time, 70% of the time), this cover in an artistic sense is genius, correlating it’s words with a matching image. Mrs. High and Mighty with her high society status and beauty pageant past, has charmed the hoozeymawhatsits off of our rear ends, donchaknow…and she now is looking like one of us if our faces were magnified times two. Talk about a headline making sense: Now that we can see her flaws, we can all see that she is in fact, one of us!

In terms of a press move, this is about the smartest thing that could have been done by Palin and the Republican Political party. By running this cover and stirring up this fake controversy, the Palin buzz continues as it is on this blog, and the focus is taken off of the poor race that her superior is running.

After a debate that was free of fireworks or anything that will change the minds of voters, nothing can spark a campaign’s fire like some TMZ style smut that the public loves. Aside from that, free airtime on heavily biased news networks that diverts our attention away from the real issues at hand, never hurts a party that is clinging to a race by a thread.

Republican Failure

Now let me get it out here, that I’m not a full on Democrat, nor do I hate all ideas of republicans. I have my feet firmly planted in the middle and will always make my vote based on who I feel the best candidate is for the job.
With that said, let me ask you this: What POSITIVES have you seen within the republican party over the last 8 years?

Is the country in better shape financially than it was 8 years ago?

Is our country more secure than it was 8 years ago? (with our great military fully extended, our nation is more wide open for attacks than ever)

Is the US more respected on the global front than it was 8 years ago?

Has the republican “pro-life” belief been upheld, abolishing abortion?

Is the lack of government funding to stem cell researching helping to make medical advances come that much faster?

Does it not worry you that Bush has not made a comment to the press about this financial downfall in 2 MONTHS?

Does the dependence on foreign oil make your checkbook smile when you see rising the gas prices over the last year?

Will you be happy come retirement, when your Social Security benefits are nil?

Has the tightening of internet porn regulations and obscenity busts stopped porn from invading computers and televisions?

Has the banning of internet gambling stopped people from making poor decisions financially, when taxation could have been put in place to raise revenue for the USA?

Are you happy that the richest people in our country are making more than ever, while the middle class has effectively been wiped out?

—————————–
I could go on and on all day…However, the good news is that people still got to keep their guns.
Yay to that!

It’s one thing to be raised as a republican since you were born, and continue to hold on to that allegiance, but at some point, don’t you have to take a look at the big picture and think for yourself?

Sure the democrats are idiots as well, but if this country wants 4 more years of a similar staff and the same policies, I’d have to say that we’re not the smartest nation afterall.

“Fool me once Shame on you Fool me twice Shame on me.
” What happens if we get fooled 1 more time?

Rewind to the Clinton days… His biggest negative mark in the minds of the majority is that he got a blowjob from a female behind the back of his manly wife. No compare it to Bush’s blunders…Can you see the difference?
